Shipping Charges and Delivery Policy
SHUKR has partnered with world-leading logistics companies – like DHL and others - to provide you with cost-effective, quick, and flexible shipping.
Once we ship your order you will receive a tracking number for your shipment, allowing you to track your order from the moment it leaves our warehouse until the point it reaches your doorstep. You will also have an opportunity to re-schedule the delivery according to a time convenient for you if necessary.
Orders are shipped from our warehouse in Amman, Jordan.
You may receive an option from the courier company to deliver a package without you having to sign for it. We do not recommend this and please note that if you do give authorization to deliver a package without a signature, SHUKR is not responsible for the package if it goes missing.
AVOIDING RETURNS!
SHUKR wants you to be happy with your purchase and not have to return it. Most returns from online clothing stores are made because of sizing issues. SHUKR has therefore gone to extra lengths to make choosing the correct size an almost risk-free affair. We offer two charts to help customers choose the correct size: a body size chart and a garment measurements chart. These 2 charts can be found together on each product page in the tab called “Size Guide”, found underneath the “Add to Cart” icon. Use the body size chart to take the measurements of your own body and the garment measurements chart to see the measurements of the actual clothing itself, which you can then compare to any item of clothing you already own to see if it is similar or not. If you use both charts then you will be guaranteed the correct clothing size, inshaAllah.
NO CUSTOMS CHARGES
SHUKR guarantees to cover the cost of any customs charges incurred on your order when it is shipped to Canada. If your orders incurs customs charges then DHL will ask you to pay the small amount when delivering your order. SHUKR will refund this amount you pay.
How to get refunded for customs charges:
- Scan or take a clear photo of the invoice, showing how much you paid in customs fees.
- Contact our support team. Use the “About my Order" option and upload the invoice as an attached file.
- Once your ticket has been received, our Customer Service team will refund you the amount paid for customs within 48 hours.
SHIPPING AND RETURNS CHARGES
- Shipping on all orders over $150 is FREE
- Shipping for orders between $75 - $150 is $9.95.
- Shipping for orders under $75 is $14.95.
We encourage customers to take advantage of our FREE shipping offer by meeting the minimum order value for free shipping.
Returns shipping costs $9.95 for the first item and $4.95 for each additional item if items are returned for a refund. So, for example, returning 1 item will cost $9.95; 2 items will cost $14.90; 3 items will cost $19.85, and so on. We do offer FREE returns shipping, however, if you opt for Store Credit instead of a refund. Please see our RETURNS AND EXCHANGES page for further details.
The initial shipping charges for sending the products to you are not refunded, except in cases where SHUKR is at fault for sending an incorrect product.
Both the initial shipping and any returns cost are highly subsidized rates. The actual cost that SHUKR pays the courier for each shipment is typically at least double the rate that we charge our customers. While we would love to offer completely free shipping or returns shipping, this would force us to increase our product prices to compensate for the extra cost.
Returns need to be sent back solely with DHL, which SHUKR will arrange once you contact us about a return. Please see our RETURNS AND EXCHANGES page for further details.
Please note that in addition to our normal shipping charges, a $25 Remote Area Surcharge will be applied to orders that are shipped to remote areas. A Remote Area Surcharge of $25 will also be applied to return shipping charges in addition to our normal return shipping charges for orders that are picked up from a remote area.
DHL determines which areas are considered Remote Areas. If applicable, our customer service team will notify you of this charge and how to complete the additional payment before your order is processed.
TIMELY SHIPPING
You should receive your order within a maximum of 5 business days from the date of shipping your order from our warehouse.
The date of shipping is normally the next day after placing your order if your order only includes inventory items. Exceptions to this include orders placed on Thursday - which are shipped on Sunday, after the Friday / Saturday weekend break - and orders that require any follow-up with customers prior to shipping.
An extra 3 working days are required to ship your order if your order includes any customization of the length of inventory items.
An extra time period is also required if your order is for Made-To-Order items. Made-To-Order items are those which we do not carry in inventory but only produce according to your order. You can identify Made-To-Order items by the note on the product page which says: “Note: This is a Made-To-Order design which we specially produce for you”. The extra time it takes to produce these Made-To-Order items depends upon the current production capacity of our factory and we mention on the product pages what the expected timeframe will be.
If your order contains a mixture of Made-To-Order items and inventory items, we will send your order as one package once the Made-To-Order items are complete.
CANCELLATION OF ORDERS
If you want to cancel an order after just placing it and before it is shipped to you, then please contact us immediately. We process your order very quickly after it is placed, sometimes in just a few hours, and so the time frame is very short.
- If you cancel your order before it has been shipped, we will refund it and you will not be charged anything.
- If you cancel your order after it has been shipped, you will be charged for both the outward shipping and return fees.
- If you refuse the shipment after it is sent, or if the courier is unable to reach you and we are forced to retract the shipment, you will be charged for both the outward shipping and return fees.
